1 Body health: Stretching! Staying flexible helps prevent injuries. There are many beliefs and styles of stretching. My preference is myofascial stretching. See a JFB myofascial therapist for one on one instruction.
2 Nutrition- Drink water! My preference is spring water or alkaline water found at health food stores.
3 Thoughts for the mind and heart: Healthy thoughts for the New Year.
This year I recommend purchasing 12 small pocket size spiral notebooks. One book for each month of the year.
This month write on th outside of the book------------- January/Healthy thoughts.
Write 5 healthy thoughts! They can be about life, yourself , your career, your homelife,
desires……..anything that is healthy! Healthy quotes!

Winter is on its way! As winter approaches it is a time of short days and longer nights. In many northern states, particularly where I live, the sun pokes out of the clouds a few days during the month.
My thoughts and recommendations on moving toward health and happiness:
1 Body health: Stretching and exercise is always important year round. On these shorter, colder, and snowy (for me) days it’s extra important to me to help keep my body and mind healthy.
2 Nutrition: Vitamin D is a number one for me—esp since I live in the northern states where Vit –D from the sun is extremely limited. I increase my intake during this time also.
3 Thoughts for the mind and heart: Gratitude!
Gratitude has always been a big part of my daily routine. I believe gratitude is one of the main keys to happy, healthy living.
This month a fun activity that I found beneficial is to get a small spiral notebook that fits in a purse or pocket, title it “December/Gratitude”, and every day for the month write 5 things you’re grateful for. It can be a short list or long sentences.

2, Watch your thoughts for they become words
watch your words for they become your actions
watch your actions for they become habits

3, Flowing Outward
Your circumstances do not make you. Your circumstances reveal you.
The events in your life do not cause you to be one way or another. The events in your life give you the opportunity to
express who you are by the way you deal with them.
Like a mirror, the world around you reflects your values, your beliefs and expectations.
The things you experience outside yourself resonate with the person you are inside.
To bring about a positive change in your world, you must first make that positive
change deep within yourself. Life flows from the inside to the outside.
Any gains you make on the outside that do not have their origin on the inside
will be temporary and mostly meaningless. Real, lasting success on the outside comes
only after success has first been nurtured within.
Take great care with authentic person you are inside. And that
real value will flow outward to every corner of your life.
